It's never too early to start planning my Halloween decorations, and this hanging ghost is one of the more unique decorations I've seen. Instead of simply hanging, the sparkly ghost hangs on a real wood swing, giving it a whimsical and eye-catching appearance. The listing says it comes mostly assembled, but there are several pieces to put together. The ghost consists of two plastic pieces that form the head, the LED lights with battery pack, the sparkly white fabric, fishing line, and adhesive facial features for the eyes and mouth. Assembly is straightforward thanks to the full-color printed instructions. The only part I found a little challenging was threading the fishing line through the plastic ball that forms the ghost's head. The swing is surprisingly well made, with a sturdy solid wood seat and durable nylon ropes. Each side has adjustable buckles to change the hanging height. The included maple leaf garland wraps around the swing ropes and has its own string lights. The ghost lights and the swing lights each have separate remote controls, and both offer a convenient timer function that runs for 6 hours on and 18 hours off. Once assembled, the decoration hangs about 5 feet tall and weighs just under 4 pounds, making it easy to hang from a tree branch, porch, or other sturdy support. I haven't decided whether I'll hang it from one of the trees along my driveway or on my screened porch where I can enjoy it both day and night. Since it's only July, I still have plenty of time to decide, but I'm already looking forward to displaying it this Halloween.

I was very excited about buying four of these since I felt they would really highlight our front porch for the Halloween season. Once we figured out one, the rest went up super easy. Important to note: we did not use the black straps that came with them as the figure-8 buckle that doubles back the rope was drawn all the way down to the wooden swing level and they were hanging at a perfect length for our 8 foot eye-hook attachments. The swing is just under 2 foot from the ground. We got one remote with all four ghosts. But one remote activates them all if you point it there directly. So we have three remotes to store. I just hung them tonight after receiving them, so don’t know much about battery life but the light string pack takes 3 AAs each. Also have not tried the timer. I love that it seems easy to find pieces and parts to replace things if they start to need it after years of use. Since we didn’t have super tall height to hang, there was so much fishing line left over that holds up the clear plastic bowl “head” that we can use in the future as well. The swing is real wood too. Rope is plastic coated and decent quality. Fabric is cotton knit great quality and seems washable. They are just what I pictured. The look is super sweet. Will continue to use these for many years to come!

This GHOST was amazing!! Quality was spot on and had neighbors stop and aak me where I got it. Also it is solid construction. Heavy material with durability in weather. The batteries did die quickly on me but they were easy to replace. It is a must purchase!
